Gaming Aid is committed to free access to education and equal educational opportunities, regardless of background or income.

Through our Gaming Aid Scholarship (GASt), we provide an opportunity for young, talented individuals passionate about games, who find the financial hurdles of pursuing an academic education nearly insurmountable, to break into the games industry.

Gaming Aid supports young talents in the Bachelor’s/Master’s degree programs Game Design, Game Graphics, Interactive Narrative Design, Sound Design and Game Engineering at selected universities. Scholarship holders receive up to €800 per month depending on their needs.

The prerequisites for a GASt scholarship are a higher education entrance qualification from a member state of the European Union and the determination of need coverage within the meaning of the Federal Training Assistance Act (BaFöG).

“The games market thrives on fresh ideas, bold visions and passionate talent. This is precisely why we are looking forward to receiving numerous applications for our scholarships – because every single application is a step towards a more diverse, creative and sustainable games industry. We believe in the power of young talent and want to actively support them in shaping the future of gaming,” says Christiane Gehrke, CEO of Gaming Aid e.V.

An online application form is now available; the deadline for applications is November 23, 2025.
