Every year, the German Developer Award not only honors the best games, but the special award for social commitment also recognizes those who make an extraordinary contribution to cohesion in our society. We are delighted to be able to present this special award again in 2023, which was presented at the gala event on December 7 at the Flora in Cologne.
The current winner of the special prize for social commitment is the donation livestream “Loot for the World”, which collected almost 590,000 euros during a livestream marathon.
The GDA not only honors outstanding works by developers and game studios from German-speaking countries. The event is also a meet & greet for the local games industry.
