Gaming Aid Scholarship
Gaming Aid is committed to free access to education and equal educational opportunities, regardless of background or income. With the Gaming Aid Scholarship (GASt), we offer young, game-loving, and talented individuals who find the financial challenges of academic education almost impossible to manage the opportunity to enter the gaming industry.
What we promote
Requirements for GASt scholarships include a university entrance qualification from a member state of the European Union and a determination of need within the meaning of the Federal Training Assistance Act (BaFöG).
The expert jury will refer the candidates deemed worthy of funding to an interview. In the selection interview, you will then present yourself to the full jury, which will then decide whether to award a scholarship. The funding decision is based on the applicant’s need and talent. Therefore, a letter of motivation is particularly important to us. We want to understand your motivations as a GASt applicant and your goals with regard to the games industry.
The following information will be requested on the following pages:
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Full address
- Residence status & certificate
- Name of school where the school graduation is/was obtained
- Start date of studies (current or future studies)
- Certificate of enrollment & grade overview (if already studying)
- Contact person at the university
- Expected remaining study time (semester)
- Letter of motivation
- Proof of extracurricular activities
- Anonymized portfolio of representative work
- Determination of need as defined by the Federal Training Assistance Act (BaFöG)
The application deadline for the current scholarship phase has already passed.
