Our general meeting took place on 30 November, at which we elected a new Board of Directors, among other things: Christiane Gehrke takes over from Svenja Bhatty as the new Chairwoman of the Board.
Svenja has been at the helm of the association for over six years as chair of the board, but is now stepping down for personal reasons. Svenja would like to continue working for Gaming Aid in the future, for example as a supervisor of the GASt Gaming Aid scholarships, with which we support talented young people in the gaming industry every year. As an organisation, we would like to expressly thank Svenja for her many years of tireless commitment and outstanding support.
The General Meeting elected her deputy as her successor on the Board of Directors. Jan Homrighausen has joined the management team as a new deputy. Jerome Zenker was confirmed in office as treasurer.
For Christiane the new role is a matter of course: “It was clear to me that I would take over from Svenja if the members wanted me to. Gaming Aid is simply a cause close to my heart. I am very grateful for the trust the members have placed in me and look forward to working with Jan and Jerome on many great projects.”
