About Gaming Aid – how we promote

Gaming Aid wants to help – quickly, effectively and unbureaucratically. That’s why we work a lot with other charitable organisations. This means that we can usually make a concrete contribution very quickly. We often make monetary donations or contribute to the provision of up-to-date software and/or hardware. On this page, we present the most important projects in which we are involved.

Gaming Aid Scholarship

The Gaming Aid Scholarship (GASt) supports talented students from game-related degree programmes at selected universities with up to 800 euros per month, depending on their need. The degree programme is supported by an experienced development studio, which also provides the internships required for the degree programme.

Further projects

Gaming Aid is involved in many other projects as a supporter. When selecting new projects, we take great care to ensure that they benefit people who have suffered particular hardship, for example as a result of a severe stroke of fate. Other focal points are the topics of resilience and mental health awareness, which we will be focussing on more strongly in future.

Gaming Aid sees itself as a platform for the social commitment of the games industry in Germany. It is important to us that our support primarily reaches projects that are dedicated to promoting education, helping the elderly, supporting young people or helping students.

WHO FUNDS GAMING AID?

Gaming Aid e.V. finances its activities primarily through membership fees. In addition, the organisation also receives separate donations in cash and in kind, which are passed on in full in accordance with the purpose of the donation.

WHO DECIDES HOW THE DONATIONS ARE SPENT?

Gaming Aid is obliged to use its donations in accordance with the purpose of the organisation as set out in its statutes. This is reviewed at regular intervals. As a rule, the Executive Board decides which project is most in need of support and allocates donations accordingly. In difficult cases, however, the Advisory Board is also consulted.

CAN I GET SUPPORT AS AN INDIVIDUAL?

Individuals can be favoured by Gaming Aid if this corresponds to the purpose of the association. Accordingly, we support people if they suffer considerable disadvantages, for example due to a serious illness. These include mental illnesses as well as physical illnesses. In these or similar cases, we also have the opportunity to help the families concerned.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO SUPPORT GAMING AID?

Gaming Aid is dependent on any help. We are therefore grateful for any form of support. The easiest way is to become a member of our association. Our members make a vital contribution to our work through their membership fees, as regular payments give us a degree of planning security. However, if for whatever reason membership is not an option for you, you can also support us with Donations.
